About Dragon Ball Z Super Gokuden Totsugeki-Hen
ドラゴンボールZ 超悟空伝 突激編, Doragon Bōru Z Chō Gokūden Tsugeki-Hen
Dragon Ball Z Super Gokuden - Totsugeki-Hen is role-playing game for the Super Famicom. The game was developed by Tose Software Co. and published by Bandai on March 24, 1995 only in Japan. A few months after the release, Bandai released a sequel, Dragon Ball Z: Super Gokuden: Kakusei-Hen, which continues the story into Dragon Ball Z.
Despite the title, the game covers events from very beggining of first Dragon Ball series. Super Gokuden is a game in which the player primarily reads. It contains a lot of dialogue. From time to time, the player must choose one of the dialog options. If all the answers during the game are in line with the manga story, one additional fight will be waiting at the end.
The fight scenes are based on a rock-paper-scissors system (or really, just rock and paper), implemented in the RPG style.
Super Gokuden is fairly easy to complete. However, due to the huge amount of text to scroll, it may takes several hours (up to 7). The game (officially) was published only in Japanese, so players from other parts of the world than Japan, have a more difficult task.
