What would Dragon Ball be without... Dragon Balls? In Dragon Ball FighterZ you can collect them, summon Shenron and fulfill your wish just like our favorite characters in manga or anime. In this guide, you'll learn how to do it.
Collecting Dragon Balls is only possible in certain game modes. For example, in Story Mode this option is disabled. Remember that successfully collecting 7 Dragon Balls during one fight is really rare and it's always better to focus on winning. If you notice that you miss only one or two, then consider getting them.
How to get Dragon Balls?
In Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dragon Balls are not items placed on the stage, which you have to pick up. You can collect them by completing a combo of a certain number of hits, or -- which is much easier -- by doing a full Light Auto Combo (check in Controls). If you want to get a specific Dragon Ball, remember that the more stars on the Dragon Ball, the more hits you have to perform in one combo to get it. For example, a combo of 10 to 19 hits will give you 1 star Dragon Ball, and 70+ hit combo will give you 7 star Dragon Ball.
1 star Dragon Ball | 10-19 hit combo |
2 star Dragon Ball | 20-29 hit combo |
3 star Dragon Ball | 30-39 hit combo |
4 star Dragon Ball | 40-49 hit combo |
5 star Dragon Ball | 50-59 hit combo |
6 star Dragon Ball | 60-69 hit combo |
7 star Dragon Ball | 70+ hit combo |
During the fight on a high difficulty level, collecting all seven Dragon Balls isn't the easiest task. However, the effort can pay off. You can collect Dragon Balls with all characters -- this means you can change your warriors during the fight, and your Dragon Balls collection will not be reset. When you already have all 7 Dragon Balls, you need a full energy meter (7 bars) to summon Shenron.
Note that Dragon Balls will be earned in a shared pool between two players. The only thing that matters is who gets 7 bars of energy first and performs the Light Auto Combo. Yes, your opponent may not collect any Dragon Ball, and he can summon Shenron if you're not careful. Anyway, if you meet all the requirements, land a full Light Auto Combo and choose one of four...
Wishes
Once you've successfully summoned Shenron, you can choose one of four wishes. You can pick which one you want by choosing the corresponding direction on the D-Pad. You have very little time for this, so it's good to know what you need before the screen with the choice of wish appears. Let's look at the available wishes that the great green dragon can fulfill.
- Restore my health - fully recovers health of your current character.
- Bring back my ally - revives a fallen teammate with 20% health back.
- Give me the ultimate power - boosts your Ki gauge to its maximum (7 bars) and adds a second Sparking Blast icon.
- Make me immortal - renews all blue health for your entire team, and your super meter gets auto-regeneration.
Depending on the situation, each wish can reverse the course of the fight. Restore my health works well if our current character has very little health, and the rest of the team is okay. Thanks to Bring back my ally we can again perform assists with the defeated character, which is a key in some of the team's compositions. However, this is a risky option because the resurrected member regains only 20% of his health. Give me the ultimate power gives back all the energy you used to summon Shenron, and more importantly adds one more Sparking Blast, which means you can use it twice during the fight. If your team is faring well, you can choose Make me immortal that will give you a small defensive (regenerate all blue health) and offensive (super meter gets auto-regeneration) boost.
